Harley Benton Fxl8 Pro Series
- I'm close to pulling the trigger on one of these. Just remember, the Boss Es-8/5 offer the ability to re-order your pedal order, and more midi messages with each patch change. Plus only the PXL-live has midi. AND you can't decide how many loops are in the front or in the fx loop, it's a 4x4 split, the boss allows you to decide how many and even swap em out and about from patch to patch, on the Es-8.0<=' span='>0
- Ok, that helps a lot and explains the cost difference somewhat0<=' span='>0
- @professorben - hey, dude Actually, both the PXL Pro and PXL Live have MIDI, but - oddly - the Pro has 4 relay outputs for amp control, whereas the Live only has 2. Strange decision.0<=' span='>0
- I've got the Harley Benton PXL Live-a-like. Not as flexible as some offerings, MIDI functionality is fairly restricted and programming it is a bit fiddly. It is however very, very cheap compared to other offerings and as I don't need anything it doesn't do.At the moment I've got 2 drives and a fuzz in one loop going into the front of my amp, a chorus, a vibe, a delay, and a clean boost in the other loop in the amps FX loop and use the MIDI for patch selection in the delay and channel selection on the amp. Works a treat and no tap dancing required!0<=' span='>1
Hey man, nah PXL live is the only MIDI enabled version, but I get your point about the triggers. Seems like they give with one hand and take away with the other.....@professorben - hey, dude Actually, both the PXL Pro and PXL Live have MIDI, but - oddly - the Pro has 4 relay outputs for amp control, whereas the Live only has 2.
