The Jungle Tour was the eighteenth tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on May 20, 2020 and ended on June 2, 2020.Reflecting its theme around jungles and the Donkey Kong Country series, Dixie Kong made her playable Mario Kart debut and Funky Kong returned after his only Mario Kart playable appearance in Mario Kart Wii, while also adding the Rambi Rider from Mario Kart DS.

1 day ago In it’s trek around the world, Mario Kart Tour has now landed with an event in Sydney – you know the one here in Australia. The event is live now and runs until May 5 th at 3:59 p.m. The course in the game is a track around the streets of Sydney with the Harbour Bridge and Luna Park in the background. There’s a Baby Mario with Koala ears, a Jet Cruise Kart and Surf Master Glider to.

The Mario Kart Tour smart device game has provided thrill-hungry racers with a rollicking tour of the globe, all from the driver’s seat of a colourful kart and the palm of your hand. This month, you’re personally invited to drift through the Land Down Under with Mario and friends. The new Sydney Tour event is available to play now and runs until May 5^th at 3:59 p.m. AEST.

Get ready to take in the sights as you zip through the new Sydney Sprint course and its variants, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and some of the world’s loveliest beaches. Try not to get any sand in your muffler, mate! Starting in the first week of the tour,available now through May 5 at 3:59 p.m. AEST, you can find Baby Mario (Koala), the Jet Cruiser kart and the Surf Master glider in the spotlight.

In the Ocean Pipe from April 25 at 4 p.m. AEST through April 30 at 3:59 p.m. AEST, you’ll be able to grab your swimmers and dive right in! Here’s your chance to find the Gold Cheep Charger kart, the Gold Cheep Snorkel kart and other beachy-keen karts and gliders. We’re sure you’ll do great out there, whether you’re competing from the racetrack or from the comfort of your rumpus room.

Petrol heads’ll go bananas for week two from April 28 at 4 p.m. AEST through May 5 at 3:59 p.m. AEST, where you’ll find Mario (Swimwear), Rosalina (Swimwear), the Cheep Snorkel kart, the Blue Soda kart, the Blooper Wingtip glider and the Luma Parafoil glider. This one’s a real beaut!

Mario Kart Tour has reached two important milestones, according to mobile market analyst Sensor Tower, racing past 200 million downloads and $200 million in lifetime revenue on both iOS and Android.

The free-to-play mobile game from Nintendo launched in 2019. From April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021, it was Nintendo’s No. 2 biggest earner on mobile, behind Fire Emblem Heroes.

Compared to other racing mobile racing games during that same period, Mario Kart Tour was No. 4.

Mario Kart Tour has been most successful in the U.S., where it has earned 37.6% of its lifetime revenue ($76 million). Japan is No. 2 with 28%, followed by France as a distant No. 3 with 7.3%.

“While Mario Kart Tour has not been able to sustain the highs of its big launch, it has maintained a fairly consistent revenue stream, generating $7.7 million on average per month globally over the last year,” notes Sensor Tower.

Since the launch of Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo has become quieter on the mobile side, a business it started as it looked to diversify its portfolio after the disappointing sales of the Wii U. The massive success of the Switch has made that need less necessary.
