Words cannot express how much I love this place. It is the best place to come for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the food is something you can’t experience anywhere else in the city. I have visited many times and each time I try something different and have yet to be disappointed. The long wait to get a seat should attest to how good the food is here. I have waited 2 hours to get a seat and it was well worth it to enjoy every heavenly bite I had.

Every visit I have been greeted by George, one of the two owners who takes our names down on the wait-list. He is always smiling, laughing, genuinely cares about how you are doing and will always make you feel part of the family. On this visit we were waited on by Anthony who was a lot of fun, cutting up and laughing with all his customers, telling us the specials, every detail of items we had questions on and cutting up with George. This visit I ordered the classic french toast topped with bananas foster which was a butterscotch syrup with bananas, whipped cream and toasted almonds…stop what you’re doing and read the last sentence again. I cannot express the experience my taste buds had when I took a bite of this dish. It is by far my favorite dish I have had. I honestly thought it would be super sweet but ended up being the right amount of sweetness to satisfy my sweet tooth and then take a savory bite of the amazing hash brown casserole that leaves you needing a moment to stop and think about what your senses are experiencing at that very moment. You need “a moment” when you eat this.
My friend ordered The King (with bacon) which is Brioche sliced stuffed french toast. The stuffing is peanut butter, bananas, honey and cream cheese. This was my favorite dish until today but it is a close 2nd. You again can’t go wrong with this. My friend stated “the mixing of the various flavors, augmented with bacon and maple syrup, made this an incredible breakfast to enjoy. The hash brown casserole added something completely different and as a whole, it was one of the best breakfast meals I’ve ever eaten…” And that statement sums it up!
I have also had the Monte Cristo which is brioche filled with ham, baby Swiss and orange Marmalade and thought I wouldn’t like it but was mistaken, because it too is also fantastic! Many of my friends state they have the best eggs Benedict they have ever had, and most of them choose to order the classic or the smoked salmon Benedict.
Get here early and prepare to wait. We arrived thirty minutes before they opened on Sunday and there was already a line forming. Someday I will get to try their lunch menu. There are still so many options left to try!
